Responsibly sourced wood and paper, from forest to product
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-profit that certifies forests and the supply chains built on them, covering everything made from wood, pulp, or paper.
A certified forest has to meet requirements around protecting biodiversity and water sources, respecting the rights of indigenous and local communities, and harvesting at a rate the forest can actually sustain — not just replant after the fact.
Like GRS, it's a chain-of-custody system: the certification follows the material from the forest itself through every processing step, so a finished notebook or pen can be traced back to where its paper actually came from.
This is the certification most relevant to our writing range — notebooks, paper-based packaging, and any product where wood or paper is a core material.
