Fair, safe working conditions across the supply chain
amfori BSCI is run by amfori, a Brussels-based trade association, and it's one of the most widely used social compliance frameworks for global manufacturing supply chains.
Factories are assessed against a Code of Conduct that covers fair wages, reasonable working hours, the right to organise, workplace health and safety, and a hard line against child or forced labour. Audits are carried out by independent third parties, both announced and unannounced.
Where GRS is about materials and ISO 9001 is about process, BSCI is about people — it's the standard that exists specifically to check on working conditions inside the factories we rely on, not just the products that come out of them.
Our partner factories are required to meet at least BSCI standards before we work with them, and that requirement applies across our whole catalogue, not just specific product lines.
